CCA Children's Liturgical Dance - WINTER

WINTER 8 WEEK SESSION: Dates: Tuesdays, January 21 - March 11, 2025* Time: Tuesdays, 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM Grades: TWO CLASS GROUPS: Kindergarten-1st Grade & 2nd-5th Grade Tuition: $15 per class Class Size: 20 students maximum Location: At Christ Cathedral Academy *Dancers will learn dances to share at an Elderly Facility Performance near CCA on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00pm.​ Course Description: This class will enliven the Catholic faith life of every student by learning the art of dance filled with His joy. Students will experience the basics of ballet and creative/contemporary/liturgical movement as they learn scripture, pray, and dance to Catholic Christian music. Join the joy today! ​ Teacher: Christy Hernandez is the founder and executive director of Dance 4 Joy Ministries, a non-profit ecumenical dance ministry and studio in Orange County that trains up the next generation to proclaim the gospel in dance. With over 35 years of teaching experience and a former director of liturgical dance at St. Simon and Jude parish in Huntington Beach. Christy's soul desire is to bring glory and honor to Our Lord Jesus Christ using the beauty of the art of dance.
